NeighborWorks Umpqua, a multi-service non-profit, provides affordable housing and economic development in Oregon’s Douglas, Coos and Curry counties:
- Homeownership Centers educate and assist homebuyers and help homeowners to keep their homes which are in danger of foreclosure
- Housing Rehab program assists homeowners who need to make health and safety repairs
- reHomeOregon helps owners of manufactured homes to repair, rehab or replace old, unhealthy homes
- Consumer Credit Counseling Services educates and assists clients with debt and financial management plans
- Dream$avers Individual Development Accounts (IDA) offers match savings towards a goal intended to improve earning potential
- Umpqua Community Property Management maintains and operates the almost 500 units (houses and apartments) that NWU has built, acquired and rehabbed. They also provide third-party property management.
- Two social enterprises:
- Heartwood ReSources, a used building materials store, great prices, unique items: “Check here first!”
- Umpqua Local Goods/Coffee increases economic opportunities in our community
