After a brief update on the website and Facebook, Melanie led discussion of the Rural Energy Workshop, to be held in the Ford Room of Douglas County Library from 9:00a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tentative cost is $10, with scholarships available.
Exhibit tables can be set up.

09:00am-09:30am WORKSHOP OVERVIEW: Five minute welcome by Mayor Larry Rich or City Manager Lance Colley on Roseburg’ s energy successes with light refreshments served.
09:30am-10:00am Jim Walls Keynote: “The Lake County Experience”, with successes and challenges of moving to renewables and energy efficiency. Followed by Q & A.
10:00am-10:30am Energy Efficiency Case Study from local business: Ireland Trucking, Costco or Walmart. Followed by Q & A.
10:30am-10:45am BREAK
10:45am-12:30pm Energy Efficiency Panel: (ETO. UCAN, Enhabit, Earth · Advantage) . Each speaker has 5 minutes to tell their organization’s story and suggest possible community projects. Followed by in-depth facilitated discussion of a community project.
12:30pm-01:15pm Working Lunch with Breakout Groups: Discussion of projects in greater detail, to be reported back.
01:15pm-01:30pm Technology Discussion
01:30pm-02:30pm Renewable Energy Panel: (Oregon Clean Energy Cooperative, Newcastle Solar, Pacific Power). Same format as Energy Efficiency Panel, with facilitated discussion.

02:45pm-03:15pm Breakout Groups: report back on project ideas

The Planning Subcommittee will meet before the next meeting to prepare an invitation/information. letter for participants.
